HHCF donated a ventilator to Chest Disease Hospital, Srinagar to help them strengthen their fight against COVID-19.

Even though the primary area of focus for the foundation is to help the cancer patients but considering the ongoing pandemic (COVID-19), the foundation has redirected its resources to help the community fight this deadly virus. The foundation felt morally obliged to help the community in these testing times and has done  work on this front.

On the recommendation of doctors, we established an oxygen concentrator bank, for patients affected by COVID-19 & other ailments in need oxygen support in either hospitals or at home.

HHCF also donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to various hospitals across Kashmir valley. The equipment included masks, gowns, gloves, eye protection glasses. We distributed this equipment in Srinagar, Anantnag, Kulgam, Ganderbal and other sub-districts hospitals.

As part of “Adopt a Family” campaign, HHCF distributed full one-month ration among 800 under-privileged families during the pandemic in Srinagar, Ganderbal and Anantnag.

Taken care of Chemotherapy of various Cancer affected patients who were not able to bear the expenses of medicines.

We have registered cancer care recovery patients and have provided them with long term and short-term help. 

We are also collaborating with SKIMS Oncology Department who refer the destitute patients in need of financial help.

Helping Hands Cancer Foundation – Prof. Mohammad Akram Mir Charitable Trust for Cancer Care (HHCF) is a registered Trust. Donations are exempt from Income Tax u/s 80G of Income Tax Act 1961.
